In 2006, former United States Navy Journalist-turned-Art Director Steve Kimball (a.k.a. Phineas J. Foxx) produced the first quarterly issue of The Pyrates Way magazine. To date, over 10 issues have been printed in keeping with the finest of quality. The paper is #80 heavy stock with rich, full-color photography and then book-bound with a printed spine. The museum-quality publication has been hailed as the very best of the pirate enthusiast genre, of which Steve is well-versed.

In 2008, Steve followed up his piratical success with the publication of a new quarterly entitled Faire Magazine. This magazine shares a similar production quality as The Pyrates Way but focuses upon those who attend, vend, and entertain at Renaissance Festivals nationwide. As "Sir Black Fox," Steve is a veteran of Renaissance Faires, having attended them for almost a decade.

In 2009, Steve is taking on a third publication, The Concordium which he hopes to share with the community of Steampunk anachronism, a growing movement of Neo-Victorianists.
Steve is taking a new and exciting approach to The Concordium. Admittedly, he has very little knowledge of Steampunk and will bring this new experience to the readers as he makes his way through the community and the movement. He invites the "Noobs" (those new to the experience) like himself to travel along and will depend on those who've been at this for a while to lend a hand with explanations, adaptations, and most of all - images.

"The experience of Steampunk is very, very visual," states the publisher. "The genre begs for a thick, full-colour magazine full of the creative energy that is Steampunk. I know we can be successful in this venture as the culture would love to see itself reflected in such a quality fashion."
