When submitting articles, fiction, art, or photography to The Concordium, make sure you've contacted us in advance to make sure we have room for your submission and to verify that we don't already have something similar in the works.
All submissions are considered "gratis" or "pro bono" (i.e. not paid) unless other arrangements have been made with the publisher. We would especially like to give those fledgling artists and writers a chance to see their work in print. It's a wonderful first step to becoming a paid professional.
This is not saying, however, that qualified, professional, and experienced artists and writers will not get a stipend for their work. Each item is on a case-by-case basis and paid at the discretion of the publisher.
In the case of paid work, The Concordium pays for articles & fiction at the rate of .05 per printed word (not per submitted word). Photographs and art are paid at the rate of $25 per piece maximum but can range as low as $5 per piece, depending on size.
